BAYWO and BAYPE have been asked to join the County Wind Ensemble and their percussion ensemble for a joint concert, which will make for a great opportunity to play alongside experienced county ensembles in the Basingstoke area.
The concert will take place at 4pm in the main hall at The Blue Coat School in Basingstoke.
The schedule for the day will be as follows:
1:00 - Arrive at venue, unload percussion and set up
1:40 - BAYWO rehearsal
2:40 - BAYPE rehearsal
3.40 - Audience arrival
4.00pm - Concert
If you are able to spare an hour to help chaperone, please let your conductor know at rehearals.
We plan to wear our new uniform at the concert, so please order your replacement shirt ASAP to ensure that you receive it in time!
Our next committee meeting will be held in the conference room at Central Studio, Queen Mary’s College, Basingstoke after the AGM.

We look forward to welcoming you to our AGM on Tuesday 10th February 2026 at 19:30. It will be held in the conference room at Central Studio, Queen Mary’s College, Basingstoke.
This is expected to take no more than 15 minutes, and is an important opportunity for us to update parents and players. We will proceed to a normal committee meeting after the AGM (at which you are welcome but not required).
The referenced reports and minutes will be posted here as they become available, which should allow members to read them and prepare any questions to raise during the meeting.
Our First Aid Coordinator will be standing down, but the current officials and trustees are otherwise happy to continue in their roles for another year. However please do contact friendsofbayoc@gmail.com if you would like to stand (details are available here).

Hampshire Music Service invite you to come and hear BAYWTO, BEASE, BAYSTO and BAYSO perform at their Winter concert.
Children should sign in at the performer door (in the lobby on the left side of the QMC Main Hall) at 16:00. Audience should enter via the front entrance of the QMC Main Hall for the concert start at 16:30.
If you are able to spare an hour to help, please sign up for a slot below.
Please note, parents attending both concerts should buy a discounted combined ticket on the door, as it is not currently possible to purchase this via the HMS website.

If you would like your child to leave without being collected by a parent, you must let us know in advance via email to your conductor or friendsofbayoc@gmail.com
We need support from parents of current performers to run these events, so if you can help with things like serving refreshments, selling raffle tickets or setting up, then please click the button below to take you to our sign up sheet.

Bayo is on concert tour travelling to Traben and Wiesbaden in Germany,
Timings approximate : Details to be confirmed. We are moving away from holding a crafts event this year and returning to a more standard concert format, with time for a BBQ between performances.
Hampshire County Youth Orchestra - Conducted by Carl Clausen Basingstoke Area Youth Orchestra -Conducted by John Fuller. Come and join Hampshire Council Council Chairman, Cllr Elaine Still for a spring concert celebrating the best and most talented of Hampshire's young musicians. Youthful exuberance matched with strong commitment and real desire to perform will make for a memorable evening. The programme will include Shostakovich's Symphony No. 10 and Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
