Basingstoke Area Youth String Training Orchestras

Brenda de Souza runs the Basingstoke Early Access String Orchestra on Tuesdays , it is for pupils who have been learning for a minimum of two terms and are up to Grade 2 standard
The Orchestra runs from 4.45 to 5.45pm in Cafe QM or Central Studio at Queen Mary's College.
The Thursday orchestra is run by Phil White and assisted by Brenda de Souza, it is for pupils from Grade 2 to Grade 4 with the aim of them moving up to Basingstoke Area String Orchestra when they are ready.
It takes place in the ‘Performance Space’ of the William Butler Building at Queen Mary's College from 4.45 to 5.45pm
BAYSTO formed in 2012 to provide opportunity for younger string players.
There are no auditions and it is open to any child from local schools in the area. We aim to perform one concert each term.
Hampshire Music Service charges a fee for Ensemble Membership, which during the school year 2016 - 17, is £25 per term and for County Ensemble Membership is £35 per term. If your child belongs to more than one ensemble you will only pay one fee. If your child is in a county and an area ensemble you will only pay the £35 County Ensemble fee.
