Code of Conduct

Rehearsals and Concerts

Ensemble members are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate and considerate

manner at all times.

Ensemble members represent the ensemble, Hampshire Music Service, their school and their

parents.

Code of Conduct

1 Ensemble Members are expected to attend all their ensemble’s rehearsals and concerts unless absence is agreed in advance.

2. Any instruction given by a member of staff must be acted on without delay at all

times.

3. As guests of the school, it is essential that ensemble members treat it with respect.

4. The Ensembles equipment if used should be treated with respect at all times.

5. Any absence, other than illness, should be agreed with the conductor in advance.

Requests for absence, for reasons other than illness, should be made either in writing

or via email.

6. In the case of an emergency or illness on the day of the rehearsal or concert, the

conductor or Hampshire Music Service should be contacted by telephone before the

start.

7. If members are absent, their music must be sent to the rehearsal if it is needed by

other players.

8. Members should arrive at least 10 minutes before the rehearsal to help with setting

up, and to tune.

9. All members should assist with packing away at the end of the rehearsal.

10. If music is taken home, it should be looked after and brought to every rehearsal and

concert.
