The 2017 Crafts and Music Event will be held at Queen Marys College, Cliddesden Road, Basingstoke on Sunday 9th July 2017 between 11am

and 5 pm.

 To Book use the ADD TO CART button at the foot of the page.

We provide a table length of 6 foot to display your crafts.  Indoors, you may extend your table length up to a maximum of 10 foot with your own tables at no extra charge.   If you will want more space than this, you will need to book 2 stalls. Due to the nature and layout of the venue we cannot guarantee wall space or electricity points so please have a back up plan available should we be unable to accommodate your requests. You will be able to enter the venue from 10am to set up. We can only guarantee you an indoor stall if you book one of these.

Free tea, coffee or squash is available to crafters during the event. Hot and cold food can be purchased from our cafe and BBQ and even delivered to your stall on request. We can only guarantee you an indoor table if you book as such. If the weather is good and you would then prefer to be outside on the day, please bring a weighted gazebo and we will place you in the green area to the side of the hall along with the BBQ. If outdoors you are recommended to bring and erect a tent or gazebo and may extend your table length to fit your own Gazebo size.  Outdoor stalls will be in a green area alongside the entrance to indoor stalls, Indoor stalls will be spaced around the side hall, entrance foyer and some will be at the back of the performance area in the hall.

As long as the weather is good, music from the performances will be amplified to the outdoor area. Visitors are routed in and out of the hall passing the indoor and outdoor stalls to ensure all stalls have the opportunity to be visited by our customers.

Footfall is guaranteed as hundreds of children perform during the event and their families come to support them. We have each ensemble perform twice during the event to ensure that there is time to visit the stalls between performances.

We have run the annual event for over a decade and several years ago we carried out an extensive evaluation of the event by surveying customers, ensemble parents and stall holders. Satisfaction was high and the overwhelming majority of respondents wanted the event to remain in a similar format.

We also surveyed the first 200 car drivers attending the event as they entered the car park, and found that 168 were associated to our Orchestras and Choirs, others found out about the event from a number of other routes. Armed with this knowledge we are prioritising the most effective promotions and also promoting more to the extended families of performers as well as parents.
